The trilogy is saved!!! This third book in V.E. Schwab’s Shades of Magic series is definitely worth the read! My review of the second book accurately reflected my ambivalence about it, neither great nor awful, simply an in between for two amazing reads being the first and the third.
In A Conjuring of Light the wonderful character development abundantly displayed in the first and slightly apparent in the second is further fleshed out in the third encouraging the reader to truly feel a more intimate acquaintance with the main characters.
The plot development is completely unpredictable and fast paced, pulling the reader along on an unforgettably enjoyable ride with more than a few “ah-ha” moments and deep breath pit-stops. Warning: This book may evoke an array of emotions as the journey of the characters unfolds.
For adult fantasy fiction, I highly recommend this trilogy and this third and final book in particular! Well done, Victoria Schwab!
