The Sea Glass Cottage Book Review

Submitted by Kisha Jones

Olivia Harper is hard at work on a full time not so thrilling job and trying to launch her dream business Harper Media she receives a call from Melody her best friend from back home that her mother is in the hospital. She rearranges her schedule to go home to Cape Sanctuary. When she gets home she discovers that her mother Juliet is indeed in the hospital and has broken her hip. Olivia, and Juliet have had somewhat of an estranged relationship since Olivia's father died in a fire when she was only a child.

Juliet's sister Natalie died of a drug overdose and left her infant daughter for Juliet to raise. With all these undercurrents swirling these three women are in for some choppy waters before the currents settle. While in Cape Sanctuary Olivia learns some truths about her sister, her mother, her niece and is re-introduced to the person who was the love of her life at 13 years old, Cooper who is her best friend Melody's brother. Cooper has come back to Cape Sanctuary and is now the new fire chief a position which Olivia's father held before being killed in a fire. All of the women in the Harper family will be forced to face their past and fears in order to move on to the wonderful life they want.

If you are looking for a book where you are involved with characters that grow into the version of their better selves, then this is going to be a great read for you.
