Many of you have watched the TV show “Longmire”. It was adapted from the Books of Craig Johnson, a writer living in a small town in Wyoming. Johnson has received many awards for his books including the Western Writers of America Spur Award.

The Longmire series of books follow the trials of Walt Longmire a sheriff in Absaroka County, Wyoming. Constantly mediating between the town and the Indian reservation leads to exciting entertainment. In this book Dry Bones, a complete skeleton of a Tyrannosaurs Rex is found and claimed by the landowner, Danny Lone Elk, the High Plains Dinosaur Museum, and the Federal Government. Longmire tries to sort out the dispute and the murder of Danny Lone Elk.

The series boast a cast of interesting characters, fast action and emotional interactions. If you enjoy a good western, you will love the Longmire series.
